BRIEF HISTORY

The foundation – Oluwatohungbogbo Akinbo Support Initiative and Scholarship Foundation (OASIS) has been unofficially active for over 25 years through the generosity of Mr and Mrs Akinbo, mainly as educational support Scholarship, medical expenses intervention and other charity work to anyone in the society and mainly those in their religious group and sphere of influence.

The self funded charity initiative was formally registered in 2023 mainly to expand the reach and scope of its activities, but it was later renamed Oluwatohungbogbo Akinbo Support Initiative and Scholarship (OASIS) Foundation after Tohun’s passing away in April 2024.

This was to honor her whole hearted support and active involvement in what she and her husband had been doing for decades, and to continue her lifelong commitment to service, and unshakable belief that all things are possible through Christ that strengthens – convictions that were untouched by her year long battle with Leukemia.

We honor her passion for service and wholeheartedly pouring out herself to improve the life of others.
